We live in an era of perceptual consumption. We are now facing the loss of our own existence, in the quest of finding it.

Transparency of Being is made up of comparative observations on the immersive nature of everyday life, technological communication and transportation platforms, and a somewhat nostalgic search for spirituality. İnvestigating a dystopic realm created from utopian elements, this experimental documentary takes place in Japan. As it constitutes of a narrative created in the stage of editing, the work explores the functioning of perceptive processes while discovering contradictions and relations between distance and connection, reality and representation, space and crowd, time and timelessness. Also making the artist's perception and discovery process visible, Transparency of Being follows instances in which technology creates our daily perceptive realms while asking; If we are moving away from our existence, is this not also a transition towards metaphysical thinking?
